Missouri Disaster Recovery Jobs Program (MoDRJP)

The Workforce Investment Board of Southeast Missouri (WIB) can provide many valuable services to the communities in this region. The purpose of the MoDRJP is to restore public infrastructure and services so that regular business and employment activities can be resumed. In addition, participants can work on projects that provide humanitarian assistance to victims of the disaster. MoDRJP allows workers who are laid off as a result of the disaster to work on NEG-related projects at public and non-profit worksites.

Targeted Projects

Debris removal, humanitarian assistance and restoration of public areas resulting from flood disaster
Projects must be related to damages in the official Disaster Declaration

Public entities such as cities and counties (properties of certain non-profits may qualify)

Coordinated to avoid duplicating any FEMA projects

Examples: structures, facilities, or lands to help enable the resumption of normal public activities

Requirements of Worksites

Work is supervised through the worksite and treated as any other regular employment
